The bike
Every Adamar is designed and hand-built in New Zealand, tested on the same roads, trails, and coastlines our riders actually use.
They share the same underlying electric platform, but the battery size and motor tuning are adjusted per model — see the Technology page for how that works.
When you brake or ease off the throttle, the motor controller feeds a portion of that energy back into the battery instead of losing it as heat — adding a small amount of range back and giving the mechanical brakes some help under normal riding.
Eco, Normal, and Sport (available depending on model) adjust how the motor controller delivers power — Eco softens throttle response and stretches range, Sport sharpens acceleration for a livelier feel, and Normal sits in between.
Yes — the motor controller's firmware can be updated over the life of the bike to refine throttle response and ride-mode behaviour as the platform is improved.

Battery & safety
Every Adamar battery pack is independently tested and certified to UN38.3 — the internationally recognised safety standard for lithium-ion batteries — covering altitude, thermal, vibration, shock, short-circuit, crush, overcharge, and forced-discharge conditions. It also includes a battery management system (BMS) that continuously monitors cell voltage and temperature.
Yes — the battery pack sits in a sealed enclosure rated against dust and water ingress, and every model comes with ABS as standard to help manage wet-weather braking.
Lithium-ion packs like ours are rated for hundreds of full charge cycles before any meaningful capacity loss — for most riders, that's several years of normal use. The BMS also helps protect the pack's long-term health by keeping cells within safe operating limits.
